I just set my dvr to record this show on nat geo. Looks as if it premiered last week. Is it worth recording or watching ? Episode 2 is tomorrow evening for those like me who havent seen it yet.

Wasnt sure where to put this one so move if necessary mods.

Its another "reality" show, but it involves what I do on the side......climbing trees and piecing them down, so its of interest if you like that stuff......

Gives a birds-eye view of that kind of work, I have the DVR set to record it too!!

Speaking of good arborists, check this clip out. Shows the "speed line" technique. I'm going to be using this technique on a couple jobs soon...

Now that is a pretty cool way to put the limbs right where you want them.

Pretty cool. I have a lot of respect for anyone that can pull that off. I got queasy just watching the video.

I've done trees close to that height (I'm estimating that one to be around 100-110'), I've been up over 80-90' in a couple pines. I've yet to do the "zip line" method, though. I wanna give it a try here soon, I've got a few good candidates to try it on, possibly as early as this weekend on a couple 50' pines. They are located in the guy's backyard, I'm going to try and zip the top limbs out to the front of the house......
I've got the gear, gotta try it out sometime or another!!

I am hoping to find a working stream of natgeo here in a bit since there seem to be not torrents afoot.

Awsome video scotty! I did alot of high bucket work back when i worked for the tree service and used lots of different rigging, but never tried to speed line anything.
