I hurt my shoulder a few years back, some of the worst pain I've ever had and you can't find a comfortable position to sleep. I hope you get better soon

I did that playing softball, it was my left shoulder. I ended up playing (it would fall out, I would pop it back in when playing left field) I played like that for a long time, I had a operation to fix it after I was done playing, my ligament that holds the shoulder in place was torn off the bone.

It was a three hour operation, lots of pain, I would go see the doc if I were you.

My shoulder would fall out every so often, it never mattered where you were. It fell out at work when I was taking a hat order from I guy from the Amvets, I made him push it back in (pain) he had been drinking so he almost lost it when it rolled back in.

    Get it checked Swags.

The best part was after the operation, for three weeks the wife had to give me showers.

I went in to the chiropractor today, he looked and said it's too early to tell of there is a tear. But he was leaning more towards it just being a stretch. I'm going back in Monday for a follow up. If it still is the same Monday I'll go to a specialist.

If it doesn't feel better in a week, it is time for an MRI. The longer you wait, the less time for an operation to be effective. An active person doesn't want a "frozen" shoulder. I had a bad shoulder tested year before last. They wanted to operate. I opted not to. However, I kept moving it to full range so as to not allow it go have limited range of motion. I have no residual pain or motion restriction. But, not all tears are the same. Plus I really don't work so I could concentrate on getting it better. Now if I could only get this knee to work and stop hurting. It has been 4 months so far.

I have broke both shoulders. Even a simple tear will set you back 3 months.

If you can't lift your arm, without the help of the other? Please see a physician. You will thank us all later.

I wish you a fast a full recovery my friend. Shoulder injuries are not fun at all.

I have never injured my shoulders but I second the motion to go get it checked out. I have dislocated both knees (twice for the left one) and tore up my left ankle pretty good a couple years back. (Still have some hardware in there). All of my lower joints now pop and crack when I walk or even just shifting weight from one foot to the other. (I can't wait to see what walking is like in my 40's..... lol) Point is, all injuries do damage, even the so-called minor ones. Usually worth the x-ray/scan just for peace of mind.

Hope you get back to normal quick Sean, I know sitting still ain't your thing. ;)

Dang, I'm sitting here with a heat pad on my shoulder reading about you and your shoulder injury. That stinks. Then the sleepless nights cause you cant get comfortable. I'm finally getting to sleep most of the night after almost three weeks. I aggraviated it the last couple of days at work. Good luck and take it easy.

Rest it a while, shoulders take a long tome to heal if you keep using it

It'll get better as you get older. :D

My first Doctor thought mine was stretched, I hope yours is. When I finally had the operation, the second doctor said I was lucky because my socket didn't suffer any damage from it rolling out so many times.
