Now that’s a load! I think we’d all be impressed with how much weight is in there. And red oak no less! Maybe we don’t want to know though....might make us a little more careful
This is my most recent picture of a load in the truck. I love my beater! Pulled out of the gas station today with a fountain drink between my legs and spilled the whole thing on the floor! Didn’t even try and clean it up It’s been a great truck for what I use it for. Ain’t pretty but works hard!
Love the dump trailer! I need one. I spend too much time hand unloading. How much can you fit in there stacked like that?
Ive sacrificed a couple coffees (light & sweet) like that in the last month. I reuse styrofoam cups for coffee-to-go. Go to pick them out of the cup holder and top comes off and coffee everywhere. Mop it up with all the napkins from my visor.
What I would like to know is, when did 8’ beds on trucks become considered long beds and not standard? I’ve never owned anything but that
i used to deliver full cords of oak, pecan and pine years ago in my 93 f150... Many times. I wouldn’t want to do that now, even in a diesel f250. Older and wiser. Most I ever pulled was a full load of wet walnut rounds. Stupid... tailgate down, over the cab height.
I'm right at a half cord to the top of my sideboards. But I also don't cut real heavy hardwoods like they have in some places.
Same here...86, 01, 08 F150's. I did briefly own Datsun (remember those) small PU with a camper cap. Never saw wood though!
Even some of the loads i haul now are heavy. Luckily im rarely over ten minutes from my friends or home.
Some duallys here with more carrying loads. The beds though are the same size as F150 regular beds. We're glad to live on our own woodlot with no driving far off. I did find that working a tree length load done once took about the same effort ( without the felling fun ) as harvesting in the woodlot; total maybe 6-8 cords/year including blowdowns.
I figure about 60 cubic feet split and stacked ,could get a little more in there but don't want the saws in the cab .
