How much wood can YOU fit in a standard sized pickup bed (6 3/4')

Today is my record. *Note I did not have to drive on the road with this, just across my own property.

 

How many cubic feet is that? I find it easiest to stack it on a square/ rectangular area.

 

Must be a cord in that FORD!!!

Maybe a bare 1/3 cord in the bed....maybe.

I think it is about 120 cu ft, so not quite a cord.

I prefer to have wood in the woodshed without breaking my back by carrying load after load, then having a perfect lawn.

It's close to a cord. Bed is nearly 6.75ft, 4ft wide, and the stack is about 5ft high in the middle, tapering down to 4ft at the edges, so we'll call it 4 1/2'. 6.75 * 4 *4.5 = 121.5 cu ft.

I live in a historic neighborhood in Lafayette Indiana. Lots of nice trees, hills, and old houses. My house was built in 1884. Had a wood stove installed winter of '18, and haven't looked back. I have the bug for firewood hoarding!!

Sure about that? Truck bed is usually 4’ between the wheel wells so you can lay down sheets of plywood. Overall it’s larger in width.
Oh, and next time stack some on that tailgate LOL

I have loaded a few like that, mine is a 8 ft bed and I did drive down the road with it lol

 

The 6 3/4' bed is 65. 4 cubic feet level to the top of the bed. FYI.

i guess the answer is as much as it will hold. My 8' PU bed hold half cord neat stacked splits which fills it level. My record load pictured. All red oak. Dont know the actual cordage, but its the most ive ever loaded at once. It was about five minutes from home.
Years back i had a wood customer that lived a half hour away. I would deliver a full cord of 20-24" long splits in my old 2001 F150, 8' bed. Plywood sides up to the ladder racks. Wouldnt do that today. Half cord my max.
