so we got a lot of rain
The oak i dropped last weekend decided to escape. It was dry until yesterday now they are heading down the creek. They won't make it through the new culvert downstream though. Think i should call the town hall and ask them to bring em back?

 

Time to strap on a parrot and wooden leg and go get em.

 

Maybe someone else’s wood will float to you?

 

Call Shelby he will use his log dog to retrieve it! Lol!

 

Been there and got that tee shirt. Lost a bunch to flood waters about 3 years ago.

 

Looks like that score is washed up...or in this case down stream! Any chance of retrieving it?

Some, maybe. But most will wind up in the land of eternal mud. One of my boots went to its grave in that area and I'm not going back.

Probably a fair bit over a cord I'd guess. 4' logs on 10' pallet give or take 3-4' high. I don't know if the pallet went also.

 

That sux. Was it from that massive log deck or fresh cutting?

Umm yeah, we've gotten a lot of rain the last couple days.

That sucks about the wood though...

I'll watch the local news for a tree clogging the culvert.

 

It was all cut last Sunday. 14 years I've been there water never got to where I stacked it.

 

It's just a local creek that goes west ending up at the fox river. Never seen this much water.
