Anything is better than accidentally dumping your splitter.

No hills or ditches near enough for me to think about.

Its actually easy as heck to do.
    Things went without issue.

I've seen hitches mounted to the front of trucks. That would turn out to be handy in many situations, I believe, including this one.

I've done that with my concrete mixer for a long haul more than once but I ratchet strap the ramps to the truck's bumper. I also have a pintle hitch so I'm not sure what angle of the dangle a ball hitch would bind at.

I've got one on the front of my tractor and my neighbor thinks I'm nuts when he sees me driving throught the field pushing the splitter...

And he's a truck driver. I've seen him put trailers in places I'd never have believed it if I didn't see it. (I know, that sounds bad)

EDIT: Darn, that was a danger, danger, danger meme. Didn’t appear to work.

There is a strap from each ramp going to the truck. The ramps are pre-setup with straps..

Same way i got it in..

Back it up the ramps until the tires are on the tailgate, unhitch it from my jeep and pusher in the rest of the way.

To unload it, i back my jeep up to the ramps, manually pull the splitter out and hook it up, keeping the tires on the tailgate.

I put a ball on the front of my 4 wheeler to push splitter around. I have a heck of a time backing it. Only way I would consider trying this, is if I wanted a new splitter and ramps anyway

I see in your signature page that you have had quite a few different splitters in the past! is this the reason why???
