    Oh I got a rant..
just happened to me with rockauto, ordered a AC delco cap, they sent me a motorad cap in the ac delco box than tried to run the BS line on me they don't make their parts they source them from others. Ok sure, but it says ac delco on it and is made to their standard. They sold the same dam cap for 2$ less and charged me the delco price.
I tried to get them to refund me the difference in parts price, they didn't want to hear it.
Fuq em, I filed a dispute and got my money back and kept the pos part.
If they would have mentioned in their description you might get a private label part or another manufacturers name, that would have been on me but they didn't
They showed a picture of the ac delco cap, not the motorad, false advertising..
What set all this off though was I ordered a continental belt, they send me a good for a year gatorback belt.
Claims it will be honored by continental warranty if it goes bad because goodyear merged with continental. I didn't know this.
I just bought a continental timing belt 2018, it came marked as continental, not goodfornothingyear. So they're pawning off old goodyear stock as continental.
I don't buy stuff for the warranty, I buy it for quality, hell I could have just went to autozone bought a durasuck and warrantied that.

Start by buying your parts locally and supporting local business. Easier to control your quality control issues if you have seen it in person. Follow the ownership $$$$
of Rock Auto and you'll see you are not buying from a "Made in America" business............................. Buyer Beware !!!!!!!!

There isn't any local parts stores around like their use to be.. Well 1 if I want to head to the ghetto
if the local chains actually carried name brand parts instead of their brand. Or pay thru the nose to get the same part ordered to the store vs 1/3 cost shipped to my door.

We are all our own worst enemies, hence why we settle for buying the "crap" parts at 1/3 the price. Familiarity breeds contempt. Until the consumers start pressuring the retailers to carry "quality" products we will ALL continue buying "crap" at reduced prices. I believe they call that "Status Quo".

That's why I don't buy most of my parts locally, because I'm not going to pay more for a crap part when I can get "quality" for less shipped.
I quote quality because the motorcraft brake adjusters I just purchased were made in china.. *sigh*
Sure I could have bought my motorcraft radiator cap at the local chain for 25$, but I bought that online for 10 shipped. I'm all about supporting local, but I also am all about
making my dollar go further, so me paying 2 times more for something local isn't smart and I could care less about the status quo.
Stop voting in politicians who are bought and paid for by big business and allow our businesses to send our manufacturing base overseas.
