This Maple branch is down across from the second Ironwood I cut, once I take care of the branch a new trail will be going in, more cleaning up the forest floor than anything.
How good of that tree to drop a nice stick of firewood for you in an easy to get spot. Maple is always welcome in our collection.

Yes it will, once I get the other end cleared out! Once I clear this part, it will take me past the Maple I split about three weeks ago, then I'll be clearing downed Pine so I can connect to the original trail.
We like the Maple too, Sugar is always nice but Mother Nature takes what it wants. Like Sav said, one of these days I'll actually have to fell a tree.
