A little more Oak down....

    I laid a couple of nice dead, standing White Oak's on the ground Sunday evening. They did not have a leaf on them, been dead a couple of years. I got this one about half way bucked up yesterday evening, had to stop because we got a heavy rain shower. The other one is a couple inches bigger in diameter, should make a nice little pile of wood between the two. I will post more pics as I get it bucked and split. :axe::axe::axe::thumbs:

    Yep, sure did. The 555 runs even better now, runs stronger and seems like does not get as hot. I really love the 555.

    Well finished bucking the one tree up today, and bucked up the bigger one as well. I got all the big rounds rolled to the bottom of the hill where I can get the splitter to them easily. Made for a nice pile of White Oak, start splitting tomorrow. :axe:Hot working today, but the tree canopy helped some.

    White oak & more white oak.
    Splitting will be some work too.
    Great firewood, one of the tougher woods to split, ,
    splinters & tough on gloves too

    Yep Dave, great firewood for sure! Love to burn Oak, and don't mind working with it. Should be about a cord here maybe a little more.
