Finished a couple more rows. Front row all green fresh cut black locust. Row behind it topped with sassafras. Cherry, ash, and sugar maple mixed in. Started a second row of BL. Dunno if i have enough it to finish. Each row tight half cord. IMG_2510.JPG IMG_2511.JPG

Split the rest of the locust and stacked yesterday Two full rows of it and over a full cord. Set three new pallets in back. Wanna stack deader/dryer wood in back and continue with green in front. IMG_2521.JPG

Oh Brad will you slow down brother?...I can't keep up!!!

I went upstate NY today to visit my sister and they have some acreage. I was able to scour their property for some fallen wood and I took home a load of small diameter elm. You know the kind ... mostly dry with no bark and some tiny beetle holes. Wont be splitting except for a few of the wider ones, but will buck them down to size tomorrow. My allergies were the worst so far this year with nose running and sneezing constantly. Whenever you wake up and see that yellow-green dust coating the cars then this is not going to be a good day for me. Such a pain that I couldn't enjoy the country air even with a Zyrtec!

More buck n' burn...good stuff. Any pics?
Too bad about the allergies...tis the season. No pollen dust seen here yet as rain has been a regular.

    I'm not impressed......with me:picard:
That stack is going to have its own gravitational pull soon!... at the very least I'm worried it can throw off the earths natural rotation and everything will be out of balance!:hair:
I noticed you placing sassafras on the back end. Is this the idea shoulder season wood on the shoulders of this stack? You can start burning in the fall working from the outside in where by winter you are into the black locust heart and then continue to move through and finish on the other side with more shoulder season wood. Hmmm?....sounds like a concept. Though something tells me that there is no shoulders to this stack as it's designed to keep growing until you throw the earth of it's axis. You're a mad man Buzzsaw!!
