Well it’s quarantine time and stack were a lil low.... so a buddy called and said my parents sold their house you want a couple truck loads of 3 year old splits?? Hell yeah. That’s really a dumb question delivered 2 truck loads then another buddy said he wanted to come help me get out some dead standing ahh sure... brought kids and used tractor to pull from swamp to processing area.. Then another friend saw the logs and said can we come and teach our kids to block and practice social distancing.. . wow people are really bored so 2 teenagers with chaps are learning don’t put kid on net without permission so here’s a distant shot so since today was nice some kids wanted ride some 4 wheelers but had to split some to get to the trails we played find the splitter 2 hours later we found it !!! this has been on nice days last few weeks there are some good things about shut downs.. kids are learning I have some great friends for which I am very thankful BUT not sure why they thank me for using my land and some tools!!
Good friend does sprinkler installs.. had to remove some pipes.. the dump is closed... so I said OK if I can borrow pipe machine I can use some. I figure I will ship wrap them and put on wood deck.. will see if it works.. IBC totes are crazy money here.. trying to eliminate the stack, wait two years, unstack then put on wood deck and restack.. enough BIP and fitting to make a few dozen more.. cost about $5 dollars in fittings..
Not everyone has those things. It's nice for people to have some room they can use when they've been cooped up. Woodpiles will be growing fast now!
You do have some great friends, which means you have been a great friend to them as well......glad you were blessed as well as being a blessing. Thats a lot of wood. Nicely done.
Got about a dozen of daughter, her boyfriend with best friend 4 wheeling , on 3 separate wheelers.. I had to rinse them all with a hose
Wow Lyle! That is super great. When I first saw the pictures without reading about them I was thinking maybe you were getting ready for a GTG! Well, it sounds like you had a mini anyway. Also, this sort of thing reminds me of my youth when it was normal for folks to get together like that.
Why I am so bad a tree ID. 3 rounds a size reference looking at tree and bark I would have never guessed that was a ... yellow birch
Speaking of which, do you want to come stack my oak for me? It will get you out of the house! LMAO I got about 1/4 cord stacked today before calling it. I'd been doing a bunch of other crap before that, and my back said no more. I'll get the rest stacked Tues-Wed.
The pile is a shrinking. and that dot of orange behind Kubota is the buddy’s 6 year old he’s a helping driving 4 wheeler back and forth getting water and medications plus the all important Coffee
