I went from a V-4 Honda to a V-Twin Honda yesterday. Traded a 2014 CTX1300 for a 2013 VT1300 Stateline. My old bike had 15500 miles the new bike has 3100 miles. How can a someone only put 3100 miles on a bike in 7 years?
I took it for an hour test ride before we did the deal. The frigging gas light came on 10 minutes from the dealer! Had to stop and put some in! I made sure they had the tank full before I left,,,,
I did 120 miles on the new to me Honda Stateline today. First impressions? More than enough power for me. The Memphis Shades batwing offers enough protection to tour on. I got the nubs wore off the dealer installed tires. It’s no canyon carver but with my ordered luggage rack it should be good for some 600 mile days on tour.
Great pics Bert. This is all I got today. Spent the day doing honey do stuff. Glad I caught it right away!
Bout 125 smiles today with a friend. Hopefully nothing offensive in that art. I didn’t study it too much.
So the other day before leaving the bike shop, I see this. Checked air pressure and it was right where I set it last time. I decided to try and get home, which I did. Then I grabbed a pair of dikes and the nail came out with a wiggle. To my surprise, it did not puncture. This tire has less than 1000 miles. Talked to a few people and decided to run it. Rode 225 miles to Windber Pa from Gettysburg, 2up with my wife. It was an unpleasant, cold and wet ride but the tire persevered. All is good aside from our bones being cold.
