I see everything but more small animals at current location. New office may see a more even mix.

Oh awesome. I worked in a small, small animal vet clinic for 10 years. Loved the job, by the time I left I handled the drug books, everything for surgery prep and monitoring, all the dentals (but the extractions), all the basic pre stuff for yearly ext ect, wasn't much I didn't do. But saddly I just couldn't make it on my pay anymore and had to make the hard decision to leave.

That’s something encountered in Veterinary Medicine all to often. People want a “cheap vet” only way to stay cheap is cutting corners with drugs, equipment, salaries or all the above! I am not cheap but I am very good!

Very true. The vet I worked for is not cheap to go to by any means but she is very very good, it always amazed me to have a dog or cat come in that had been to a few vet's before for a issue that no one could figure out and she would have a idea on what it was in no time, even if it was something she hadn't seen for 15 years.

As I said I miss the interesting surgeries, the TPLO's and the SBI surgeries. I enjoyed doing the dentals, taking a horrible mouth you can't even see the teeth through the build up and puss and have it shining and minty by the end. And pulling porcupine quills is oddly satisfying haha.

We're I work now they have had me iv a few cows and pull some calfs but don't get to help with any of the DA's or anything. But working with equipment was always my other joy so I dont mind it. And having 6 dogs and 18 horses at home, I am still always dealing with animal mishaps haha.

You place looks very nice all cleaned up, hope it all goes well for you!
