Looks like the worst is over. Just a little rain at 8pm. This is one weather forecast I’m glad they got wrong.

You sure it wasn't the ladies drinking it all while they were away from the limelight and husbands?

A bit of rain last night and lots of wind. We will see if the thatch got blown all over the yard. Robins galore exploring the lawn now. We had a Varied thrush visit too. Haven't see one of those for years.

Tried a Zoom meeting with Mom and one of our daughters. Mom could see us but we couldn't see her. I don't think the camera in her laptop is connected. Frustrating as I just want to go over there and see if I can fix it. Her community is locked down pretty tight now.

Woodwidow Try calling the place where you mom lives and see if one of the staff may be able to help your mom get things set up correctly.

Thanks for that. I didn't know if she lived in a nursing home or assisted living place.

rottiman is right. Mom is still living on her own in her house my parents built in 1951. She is pretty excited as she can get outside now and do some gardening as the hip recovery is coming along well.

Shout out to American Family Ins.- just opened up a few envelopes containing checks for our vehicles. Lock-down rebates. Nice surprise.

When You mentioned your mom living in a community, my thoughts went to either a nursing home or some type of senior housing/assisted living. My mom is in a nursing home and that place has been locked down since the middle of March.
    Mom is 98.

We got ours too from West Bend Mutual Insurance. I found out a while ago that our ATM at the banks makes it easy to deposit paper checks.
