    An ex coworker used one to haul his dragster frame to paint and powder coat. worked good for him. he modified it to be a bit longer for his needs.

    One of my building partners uses one on the front of his pickup when he travels with a huge 30' bed for pump staging. He might use it 2x a year but it does the job of taking the extra weight off the ladder racks.

    Those work great. I've used them to haul two canoes in a short bed truck.

    My dad was a lumber salesman for many years and used one of those all the time. He used it to deliver smaller loads of lumber that was too long for the truck bed. Worked pretty well for him.
