Well, yesterday was campinspecter last load of wood to Mom's until September. I got some sewing done and went out and tackled my overgrown garden. It will be a while before anything gets planted in it. There is still a lot to clean out. Going to see if I can pick up seeds today to start in the house. Today is our last day of good weather for a week. Much needed rain should show up tomorrow. Everyone have a great day today.

I started out with great intentions on getting the stack built. I made a platform out of free pt boards from my BIL. I wanted to make a holz hausen. 5' round.

    All started out well.

Had to re-stack and add some horizontals. It fell apart at about 4'.:picard: I may have kicked it a few times after that. I'll get some t-posts and stack it in a cube. This is for two years out. It would have looked nice...

I did get the new bearing for the MS 170. $13.00 seemed a little much, but it was close by and got the idle set and put it to work. I got most of the pile split, so that's good.

Put a new wireless card in the desktop. Success! I am on it now. Piece of cake. Didn't even require any cursing.
Finished the mowing today and gave the mower a mini spa treatment.
Grabbed the saw. Tired of the branches trying to knock me off the mower. Trees got a hair cut.
My peas are finally breaking through. 8 little plants so far.

Vice President Pence is visiting my wife’s workplace tomorrow for a photo op. She builds ventilators. The union picked out her wardrobe. Ya baby

Morning All. I made it out of bed this morning. Raked thatch all afternoon yesterday and there is still more to go. Our "lawn" is in shock. It was 3/4 moss and now it is down to 1/4 left. Hopefully what is left of the grass grows faster than the moss. We put the thatch in a bed and we are going to grow potatoes in it. the other day got the plastic and the top covering of grass out of my old garden. Now to dig out the horsetail roots. Today is the last day of nice weather predicted.

Mom's community of 1000 is on lockdown as there was 11 confirmed cases of Covid in it. Two serious enough to be flown out to a big center. Rural communities are vulnerable too.

Last day of work for the week. Decided to take a few days off for turkey hunting, mushroom hunting, and install some replacement windows.

Maybe it would have looked nice Jon but I admit that I've seen very few holtz that looked nice. Perhaps 2 or 3 at most. Most of them really do not look good to me and as I've stated, it has to be a lot more work or at least take a lot more time to build one.

I hope your Mom can stay healthy. Was this where campinspecter was ferrying the wood? Are you prohibited from visiting now?

I absolutely agree now. A lot of time put into it. I could have straight stacked and moved onto other things.

Air Force II landed a few minutes ago but VP Pence has not made it to the factory yet. There was about a 15 Black Suburban and Tahoe caravan on facebook

The big storm has arrived. Heavy rain, hail and thunderstorms. 50mph gusts tonight.
