As I get older it seems more and more of my favorite foods are discontinued, one favorite from my childhood came in a box and was called Tetrazzini, it's been 45 years since I've had it and I can still remember how good it was ! I also really miss these cookies. What foods have you lost?

Another thing I had found as I get more geriatric, is that some foods I used to really enjoy just do not have the same appeal to the point that I no longer crave or enjoy them. Anyone one else find that, or am I just fading out????........................

The food I miss is from relatives who have passed.

    Same thing here.

But, in addition to that, let it be known that things I used to enjoy also do not have the same appeal now a days.

Chewing gum; mainly Blackjack and Carefree.

Yes, you can still get blackjack but they changed it several years ago. The last time I bought it, the stuff got thrown out as it was awful.

I used to chew carefree even though I do not have dentures but it was good.

Most of the other chewing gums have gotten too touch and do not hold their flavor but for a very few minutes.

Yes, I know these are not foods but still gets chewed.

Whole fat cultured buttermilk, and real buttermilk. I still try to make it using 1 cup of cultured to a gallon of 4 percent. The chunky kind dissapeared about 15 years ago, because people just bake with the stuff now. I love it with some salt and pepper

Back when I was a kid, we used to go to Bible Camp for a week during the summer. One summer, the girl at the canteen, much older than me, maybe in college, couldn't chew Blackjack gum. It would fall apart in her mouth. I thought it was funny. I bought packs of Blackjack gum just so I could give her a stick of it and watch her NOT be able to chew it as regular gum. I had no problems at all. Good memories.

I am glad I am not the only one with changed taste buds. I used like milk but it taste sour and can't drink it. Growing up in the summer we always had Charlie chips. They had those slightly burned ones that I loved. A few years ago, I Google them and they still sell them. So I ordered them. No burned ones. That was a disappointment. So if there was a food you used to like, Google them. You might find you can get them online.

When we were young Friehofer made the best chocolate chip cookies, I won’t even eat them now.
