Well my 46 from ebay came the other day. Came as advertised....low hour one owner saw that spent the majority of its life in the case ( which also came with it. Has the original 20" es bar in good shape. It was advertised as having the d shaped cylinder and has 165 lbs on my gauge.

Added a 28" light bar, large oem spikes, ceramic chain catcher and a factory dual port.

Pulled the limiter cap and retuned. I think im going to like this saw :)

Thanks for the encouragement on the chain....... an hour and a half, aching finger tips and 182 driver links later, it fit :jaw:

YEOW, Bryan, what a find! Go to a pro auto paint supplier in your area and get some of this goo they use on auto plastics that blocks UVA&UVB and keep that classic orange/white color scheme from fading/oxidation and looking as good as it does now!

    That's a beauty of a saw right there ;)

I think that your 372 is gonna take a backseat to that saw! The 046/460 with a Light bar is about as good as it gets for Big wood where Big power is needed!

I love a clean Stihl 046/460. I just got a nice 460 in the mail today for Josh :)

    Congrats brother!!

You don't want that saw. There's all kinds of paint missing on the front handle. Tell you what, I'll do you a favor and take that off your hands for 75% of what you paid for it. You can chalk it up to a learning experience and move on.

I doubt he'll put down a ported 372 all the time for a stock 46. They're nice and all but I thought they suck stock. Once ported they'll have different power bands and the 46 will like a long bar a little better.

Ill have a 7900 here soon too. I plan to have it and the 046 ported to make it a fair fight with my 372.

3's a crowd so eventually one will likely be passed on.

The 372 has some wicked smooth power.
