Well I guess I have to contribute to the economy in tough times. Ordered this and made a down payment last fall, said I’d get it in the spring when I can ride it. Dealer, really good family, being a wise azz sent me some pictures today. Said they assembled it this morning and accessories will be on it first of the week. Legally (China virus and governor) I can’t officially buy it until they say I can sometime next month hopefully. 3540175E-C50E-466C-A123-E129EFC230F9.jpeg

Nice! I can't believe your guvnah shut down sales. Around here all of our ATV/ utv sakes and service are open and have not been closed. Farmer's and agricultural, s week as power companies, utilities etc all use these and therefore all are open.

Guys, I was asked to pass along a message from Gasifier thanking all of you for the good times we had over the years. He won’t be coming back and I’m sure a lot of us will miss his witty posts and all he brought to the site.

We just got the lockdown extended till May 15th. Hopefully we can get somewhat back to normal then. It’s been rough on a lot of people.

That's too bad. I always enjoyed his contributions. Sometimes the discourse on this and other sites strike a raw nerve for some of the participants. With the current Bull Chit going on in this world, it happens even more frequently. I have always gone by the mantra that if I didn't like a movie, it was time to get up and leave. Sorry to see him decide to leave but he is the one who has to make that decision.

Ag forestry government sales allowed, retail is a no go. Game wardens all have BRP products so it’s essential. These rules are screwed up big time here. So many dealers struggled after the poor winter we had and are in trouble, this is the nail in the coffin. I already have several on the watch list and visit weekly. Usually means it won’t be long and the inventory is repossessed back to the manufacturers.

Ask him to reconsider. With the state of the nation, rules have to and will be bent some. Obviously, these times are only as temporary as the current situation of the country! :handshake:

Ours might be relaxed a bit earlier, if the numbers support it. I have a hard time thinking that your state with the huge numbers will have less of a shut down than our state with relatively low numbers. It looks like our golf courses will open ( not the clubhouses etc) for play April 24th. Surely any closed state parks and their boat launches will be open at that point too.

Plus, May 16th we get to pick up our puppy from the UP of Michigan. So yeah, we'll be going to get him...

Oh yeah, I made a quick run to the grocery store today. Mask on, wiped down the basket. Got my Basil plant, garlic, steaks on sale, chicken thighs, bacon, milk, olive oil, curry powder and a few other things. Found a 12 pack of TP and a bag of ap flour. I hadn't seen flour or TP available or in stores in weeks, more like a month.

In and out super quickly and the store had disinfectant wipes at the entrance and exits

I always enjoyed his posts. I really appreciated his drive and determination with plenty of pics to verify. Not sure why he left but if someone rubbed him wrong or vise versa I would stay and thrive. No sense in letting someone ruin your experience. My .02

I'll miss him too, I enjoyed his posts and pics of his efforts to shape his slice of heaven. I thought his posts were well reasoned and logical, and I don't understand why they were judged inappropriate.

I posted this already but in the wrong thread. We will miss Gasifier as well. Really enjoyed his projects around his property.

Well, campinspecter is truly bitten by the bug. He is headed out for another load of firewood. He is inspired by the forecast of rain next week and he doesn't want to be working in the rain. I have been inspired by the gardening threads and went down to look at my long neglected veggie patch. Major restoration work needed to get it back into production. I am thinking peas and broccoli for starters. I don't think we will be traveling anywhere this summer so I will be around to keep it up.

Weeded the rhubarb bed yesterday and spread well composted steer manure around each of the plants. This will be the third year the plants are in this bed. Hopefully we will get more this year. The original spot we lifted the plant from to make the new ones still has a piece left that is coming up this spring. that plant has been there since 1980.

Really feels like summer. Fog in the morning, disappearing about 10:00 and rolled back in around 7:30 in the evening. Westerly winds in the late afternoon. I wonder how dry the summer will be. Forest fires being fought already in the province. Two on Vancouver Island. A little early for that.

Dave, I did ask him to reconsider, but his decision is what it is. I told him he will be missed and that should he decide to come back everyone here would welcome him. At some point I hope he reconsiders.

I’m sure we will be one of the last to fully reopen due to the density of people in NYC and the outlying suburbs. Upstate may get a chance to open up sooner, but I’ll bet any travel into the city will be restricted.

It’s great that you get to get your new puppy. Puppies always bring joy to a home. Right now that would be a very welcome event for anyone.

I think a lot of us enjoyed his contribution and sense of humor. I don’t know the full reason of why he made that decision, and didn’t ask, but everyone has to do that for themselves. Who knows what the future holds?

Nasty morning here. 40 degrees and dumping rain. Supposed to dry up then get close to a record low tonight. Almost every night has been freezing or below this week. My peach, pear, plum, cherry, and some of my apple trees are bloomed....wonder if they'll be able to fruit this year.
