I love when my puppy is sleeping and starts chasing & woofing at her dream creatures.

Always wonder what she might be after.

She did kill one of the neighbors chickens though..

She will also go near her property to watch them.. I always say she's watching chicken TV.

Oh, that could teach her a lesson, but after raising the turkeys, I don't think she'd stand down to a chicken.

She did a pretty good job of herding the turkeys back to their pen.

Opened the door just now to let the dogs out and there’s snow on the ground. That wasn’t supposed to happen.

Heavy fog here this morning. Yesterday had summer temps - almost better than summer temps as there was no cold westerly blowing. Really calm out there. Got two loads of wash dry outside. I love the smell of sheets that are dried outside. This weather is going to continue until early next week.

campinspecter is headed out for another load of firewood to take to Mom's today. This will be the last load this week as we have to pay full price on the ferry for Friday, Sat and Sunday. Monday he will be at it again if it isn't raining.

Everyone have a good day now!

Yesterday, we woke up to 3" of snow and 5 degrees!

Last night, it dropped down to 0 but no snow!

I'm sure there are those isolated areas with below zero temps.

During last weekend, the honey Sugarbug87 just took to outside for a good split and whacking session/break from inside :axe:
I gotta hand it to her, she’s trying with the axes and mauls but after beating on some rounds, she deserved the power tool so she got some good going on the splitter!

We got to splitting some of the alder, birch and I believe its plum but not confirmed, the dark red/ purple inside grain is evident of that but it shows up in apples and peaches. Either way it was free. This was the pile of it before we got busy(you know what I mean...you characters:D:p)

Anyways! I got home yesterday, my daughter Alice was hemming and hawing at me earlier so I told her to take a nap. Got this done finally. Got a ways to go but at least bbq wood is restocked for sure.

Luckily we have quite a few piles to get to working on from here. That I’m actually happy about, things will roll as we go. The shed is a necessity though. I like having stacks but the way the rain and wind whip around here in the fall and winter, soaks the stacks and I’m left wondering what the hell to do now. I cover them and weigh it down but seems like the stuff just whips back off when I get back to them. The wood however is going to work out better this year though

That's the best. You know you are doing it right when pups do that.
