Took a stroll in the woods. 2 standing dead BL doing their best impression of a barber chair and another unknown down. Right down the road a BL took out a small maple. Tree service cut it to get off the road. Landed next to house and I know the owner is a burner. He always gets split wood. Hoping he doesn't want to mess with it and he'll let me take it.

What if you offer to cut it up and take half?

Northwest Monroe county western NY here. Did not get windy till just after 5pm. House has been rumbling quite a bit lately. I expect when I get tomorrow and look outside I’ll see Boston.

72mph wind gust reported one town over from here.

Looking forward to heading outside for a walk. No obvious trees or large branches down here. Never lost power.

Power went out here yesterday around 4pm. Still out as of now at 5:47am. It seems every time the wind blows we lose power here in the big woods. One year we had an ice storm and were without power for 8 days in February. Good thing for wood stoves.

A tragic sight to see. I was watching the line of storms on the weather channel radar yesterday morning and i wondered about your area. Is there a lot of wood to harvest in your future?

Spent this morning so far locating greenhouse pieces that the wind blew out. Just missing one long clip. Now to put the panels back in . Need a second cup of coffee today and to find a tube of clear silicon.
Except for a few small branches not much tree damage. Haven't gone for a walk around the neighborhood or back woods yet. Too many other things to do.

Only 5 inches here, 50 mph winds made it seem like more.
