Sold the older of my two MS880’s today. Good guy bought it, so I feel good about that, just hate letting one go. Funds are going towards a new band saw though. Hope all are well
I would not mind having a band saw mill too. They do a nice job but the cost is still a little to much for me. But good for you.
Ok a regular ole band saw. Sorry. I already have one of those. Very handy to have and not nearly as much as a mill.

I have a brand new 880, so I am not without. I have not located a 500i yet..... has anyone else? I could buy one through a broker in Germany, but seems sketchy.
500i is not yet for sale in the US and $1500-2000 saw new. Not for me at that price. Im more curious how well it performs with the fuel injection.
I have not. I did see one on FBM in 2-3 months ago very much to my surprise. It was in NY state too. According to the Stihl site it will be this year. Did you ever contact the FHC member from Greece Woodsnwoods ? I think he has sold/had access to them???
I contacted someone, but do not remember who. I would prefer to buy direct from Stihl for warranty reasons. I know they torture tested overseas, but it’s an expensive saw if broken without warranty. I will contact Stihl again.
Smart move. I didnt think of that. Its a Stihl though....no warranty needed! I got four year warranty on the 170 & 194T i just got by buying a six pack of full synthetic stihl oil.
