Clean up begins.

I raked the area by the pond three more times in the last few days. Got the last three bags of grass seed down yesterday after I cut some more stumps closer to the ground that were left. Just when you think you cut them all..., you find two or three more!

I had to pile up those piles of brush/branches/stumps again the other day as well. Going to have to burn those again! Then bury whatever is left.

Resting day today, feeling like crap. Sinus headache and just plain wore out. Sitting in the air conditioning and sleeping when I can. It is 86 deg. out this afternoon. It's pretty hot out there.

 

Sounds like you've got a lot more done. Maybe your next burn will really reduce what's left...

There was a lot of stuff between those three piles. Even though over 90% of the stuff is gone there is still a good bit there. Suppose to rain tomorrow. Maybe I will be able to light it off tomorrow night. The thermometer in the back yard now says 88! Definitely too hot. I'm in the air in the chair.

Just have to cut 3 or 4 more stumps I found, then I can just watch the grass grow. We are going to get some rain tomorrow for sure. Hopefully it won't be too strong. And hopefully we get some off and on over the next few weeks for the grass seed.

 

Pooooof... there they were, gone.

 

Stumps a fricking everywhere! I brought the girls down this evening to close all the windows up in the camp and they were excited. Out one window they could see a bunny rabbit, a wood chuck, and a squirell. Is that how you spell that?

 

Hopefully bury the left-overs from piles on Friday and level and rake it off. Then seed and done. Wait. How many times can I use this happy thumbs up smiley?

Time to relax at your cabin and just enjoy. Wildlife sightings ought to be pretty common I would think. Deer should love that spot.

Getting some rain, heavy at times. I paid my nephew to spread some straw out around the camp.hope it doesn't wash to much away! But I know some of the seed will get washed. Ugh!

 

Well, some of that seed is really starting to take off now. I will wait another week or so before I take some pictures of it. It will take quite a while for it to fill in. I have used the sprinkler around the camp when I have time, but we have not had much rain for the rest of it. I will let it get pretty long before I cut it the first time.
