You need a place for the Mods to move ads to when the item is sold. That way you don't loose the info but you keep the current (open) ads in the proper section.

I'd actually like to get the thread prefixes working in that section as well. You know, the wanted, for sale, sold, and free tags that help clarify what type of ad is being posted. Feel free to bump ads that have dropped off the first page and the item is still available. I know Dex and I will occasionally bump ads or just generate some chatter in ads that have been stagnant.
Think of a site with the same initials as "Another Site." Oh heck, can someone explain this convention of not mentioning ArboristSite.com directly? The reasons are not obvious to me.
You can mention any site by name so long as it is not to start trouble or bash the site. We are not here to pretend the rest of the internet doesn't exist.
Is there a clear policy about linking to threads on other related forums? Given the initial conflict with Hearth that spurred this site into existence and the common problems that AS seems to experience, I got the sense that we were expected to be rather insular. I like direct links myself, because I think there's a lot of good information out there that's worth linking to, but I've had the strong impression here that such linking was discouraged.
Many folks here are discreet regarding other forums out of habit. Most other sites have rules regarding linking to competing forums because those sites are businesses selling advertising. We do ask that you avoid linking to Hearth but that is at their request. Please check with the forum/site you wish to link to and make sure incoming links are ok.
The thread prefixes have been implemented in the Classified and the Suggestions forum. A mod should be along shortly to apply labels to the threads.
