Ever try one of those rubber squeeze bulbs that are usually used to clean ears? I wonder if you could suck whatever is just below the skin moving in and out... yikes.

More power to him Loon. Nice that he has you to lend a hand. At his age, it is no doubt what keeps him movin. Some folks just aren't designed to "retire".

So true Rotti. Loon's a good guy helping the farmer with his large farm's workload. Don't know how Loon does it... I'm looking forward to seeing pics of the haying operation coming up...

"Some folks just aren't designed to "retire" ... prolly applies to most on this forum, either retired now or will be one day... :saw::tree::axe:

Yup, turnin 65 this coming January. Society says I had best be preparing myself to "RETIRE". Problem is, I really am not looking forward to it. I do want a change, as I have been with my current employer for 29 years, but am thinking I need to find something else to occupy my time. We'll see...............

Yeah Stinny, gotta walk that fine line though. Have 2 friends that retired and turned those "hobbies" into work just by having all the time they wanted to do them. In 6 months, both of them we so burned out over their "job-hobbies" that they wanted to scream. One guy came back to work part time and the other is currentlty looking for another job. Besides, I "don't cut no stinkin wood when its 85 degrees and the bugs carry you out of the bush. Lastly, my lovely bride 0f 41 years is set to retire next year as well. All these years we have a good time with the time we have. When that time turns into mega contact, I fear we are both gonna have some major adjustments. We'll just have to play this one by ear.........

I get it. My honey and I have been together for 38 years. You're smart to step back and see if you can plan things so you won't get tired of them quickly. I had to, and still have to, slow down and smell the woodline flowers more, and my bride has done the same. We bark at each other once in a while but we give lots of space too. She'll head for the mall, and I'll head for the cabin. It works.

We take Emma with us on rare occasions to a restaurant that allows dogs. This is a shot of Emma with us at Lake Hope State park's dinning lodge. They have excellent BBQ and we sat outside this weekend (with Emma and Grandma) and had some BBQ. Nice view of Lake Hope from our table.

for the last two nights, my two labs run and try to hind when I am trying to put them out for the last call. Usually about 11 pm. I have to force them out to their attached kennel. They usually won't mess in their kennel. They were only out a minute and started whining to come back in. So I went out with them. They went to the lawn and did their thing , but wanted right back inside. One of them goes to the glass door and brakes a lot. I didn't sense anything unusual, but I think something has them spooked after dark. Don't know what could have upset them. Usually they are chasing after things. Trash cans not overturned?.....
