Time for a gate where the driveway meets the road.

We've thought about that but we don't have a problem with people driving up the driveway. Thankfully they stay on the road.

You might want to think about keeping a "problem solver" with easy reach in case a not so desirable situation comes up the driveway. Just sayin'.............

Maybe that was me driving by! I've been out for slow drive with the dog - she loves to ride in the truck, but we don't go anywhere these days. Seriously, though, I suspect there are people out for a drive feeling like it is their safest place out of the house.

I broke out ‘Forest Gump’ this afternoon (AKA a 1984 Snapper rear engine rider) and sucked up the pine needles and what not that the rake missed. Ended up dumping the bagger 5 times back in the woods. I can almost see what might be grass in another month or so.

It’s not very easy to drive a mower with handlebars that has a turning radius of two country miles, hardly any brakes, shift between forward and reverse and not spill any beer. Only reason I’ve kept it is for leaves in the fall and cleanup in the spring. It’s like a vacuum cleaner for the lawn.

Supposed to rain a bit tomorrow, so I’ll probably straighten out the workshop a bit. Sunday is supposed to be sunny again, hoping to stack the pile of pine I’ve been working on splitting the past couple months.

    Day 11

I had two gas cans in back of the truck. Heard a noise at 3:00 and checked outside to see if any neighbors/passerbys were in need of extra fuel but all was well. But...…… that was it for sleep the rest of the night! :headbang:

The entire day was overcast but at mid-afternoon, the weather got real gloomy with a low mist almost fog settling in accompanied by dropping temps. Rain started right after that.

Still lots of traffic riding by...even 99 has commented about it!

I bought some butter and beef and milk today. Should have bought more bread, but......

    I need a haircut!!!!!

I paid $150 for it off Craigslist back in 2014. Best money I ever spent. Haven’t done anything to it except replace the belt and change the oil. Typical old Briggs - it leaves a slight blue haze behind you. But it sucks and bags, and annihilates anything that has the misfortune of passing under the deck.

I picked up a nearly new Toro self propelled walk behind with a bagger for $100 at a garage sale a couple summers ago. I use that for normal mowing, but emptying the bag every 20 feet when the leaves are dropping is too much work. The Snapper can make a couple laps before I have to dump it.

make sure you don't do a half-arsed job when you get it done. This is what happens when you get a half-priced cut !!!!!!!!!
