42f/6c here; perfect for burning some willow to take the chill off. Burns fast and hot with lots of sparks and crackle
April 1, 2020 end of Gunflint Trail MN sent by a friend and neighbor up there. Makes me a little homesick.
That's one heck of a working "stay at home" order you have there. On our 3rd walk today-a short 20 minute walk-we saw two different vehicles with Minnesota plates on them that just happened to be buzzing around....2 states away in the U.P. Can't kick this virus if people don't stay home!
We are forgoing our trips during our stay at home order. I don't think its a good idea to travel either. It is not the right thing to do.
Thought I should add as well that the gentleman in the video owns Tuscarora lodge on Round Lake, which is just a few miles from their property on Saganaga Lake. So he is definitely not one of the people violating the order. He makes some great videos of the surrounding area coving a lot of outdoor activities.
45F and the stove is idling along nicely. Colder here tomorrow with rain and then a warm up. Yoyo season is here.
32 here and looks like a sunny day. Hooray! Opened the door around 7:00 and sounded like I set off an alarm. Gobble, gobble, gobble.
Just loaded the boiler some with some maple. 65 and sunny today. Not much needed in the way of heat for the foreseeable future, but I'll probably keep it lit for hot water.
45ºF , light rain and easterly and northerly winds. Easterlies arrive off the ocean and can be clammy and cold winds. Lousy day to be on the beach. Glad we're not. red maple in the stove
We had about 5 inches to shovel yesterday but it wasnt to bad. Its -12c/10.5f right now with a 3/4 load of lodgepole pine just loaded.
We just hit 60f. Less than 225 miles from here in Moorhead MN it is currently 25f and snowing under a winter storm warning for 12" of snow, wind and cold. We are supposed to get some snow, wind and the cold sometime within the next 12 hours.
He will get it, along with others, no doubt about it. But it is April so we have that going for us, which is nice .
I see a front is moving in from the /Dakotas for you to enjoy. Noticeable temp difference along the line of it. Now, lets just say you used up all that cold air before it got out of your state....I wouldn't mind a bit!
