Need some help - B&S CR950 Throttle Bracket

Alrighty


Im having a decently tough time locating a part for a Briggs & Stratton CR950 6.5HP 208cc engine im working on.


The manual lever for the throttle control is broke off, i need to replace the whole assembly/bracket.
Ive found the bracket on a exploded parts view. In the parts view it has a listing number of 222, that
is not the part number, it is listed as unavailable on B&S website for the parts list for this specific
engine.

Well there has to be something out there available.. lol

Ive googled, ive searched, ive tried different keywords. B&S throttle bracket, control bracket, manual
throttle control, ive tried a few different terms and am coming up empty. Well, other then 1 result.

That bracket is slightly different.. Im sure it'll bolt up and im sure it'll work, probably...

Maybe one of you can find this sucker..

That motor looks very similar to a Honda gx390. I wonder if the parts could cross I’ll get a pic of one later today.

 

Have you tried either " Parts tree " or " Jacks " ? Both of those sites have exploded views. I have used parts tree myself and had good luck.

parts tree lists the part as "not available" without a part number. Same thing on B&S site.

Bracket for a honda isnt anywhere near the samr, not even slightly similar.

 

Honda GX200 bracket looks pretty similar to me...Engine Throttle Control Plate Bracket Fits Honda GX160 GX200 16500-ZH8-823 | eBay

 

That isnt anywhere near what i found on a honda parts list for that engine or any of the other gx series engines. We might have a winner here!

Now then...when did BS start depreciating perfectly good Honda engines with their stickers?!

 

Is this your engine...with different paint/stickers?

What a sarcastic azzhole... Looks like a i found THE guy here on FHC.

As mentioned above, the parts i viewed from Honda's website look nothing like the one i have on my bench.
Not sure what your problem, i looked at the manufacturers website for an OEM part and did not find what i needed... That is all...


"Thanks" Jack wagon for the assumption that a GX390 is a good parts donor. Again, for whatever reason, nothing at all is similar as far as the throttle control bracket goes. Look it up..
