Well, as of last Thursday, new work hours are 3:30 PM to 2 AM per my request. Still not necessarily a fan.. But.. I do have 3 day weekends.
Not entirely. My son's job ended December 31, which he knew that was coming quite some time ago. He did not worry. So today he does not work for anyone; that is, not employed by a company. However, he is busier and making more dollars than when he was employed. We're happy for him. On the other hand, his wife is an RN and things are not going so well at the hospitals. Of course she is working but this has to be a huge stress load for anyone working in a hospital.
Happy for your sons independence. But yeah, one of my happiest days is when Chazsbetterhalf no longer worked in the hospital. She's not an RN, but worked for a psychiatrist that had his offices there. Always worried a bit about what she might be exposed to.
According to the email from HR that I just got, it does effect me. Hourly gets a 4 day week for 4 days pay, salary gets a 5 day week for 4 days pay.
