I hope you are all well and keeping busy. Nice weather sure helps! Yesterday I split some more mulberry, brought some dry hemlock in from the porch, and found a couple of black birch rounds at the dump, rotten in the middle but still plenty of meat on them. Today I'll noodle some unsplittables, and do some raking, as the snows' mostly melted off.
Yesterday I watched the neighbors across the street chuck some huge pine limbs that fell in their yard, into the neighbor's yard next door. Gaaah!
My friend who works the plant dept at Home Depot gets her first shipment next week. Fortunately she didn't need me to work this spring. I hope she can make a go of it.
    Have a great day!

And the best jowl I have ever had is Mariah jowl available at Publix. I know you can get it. We always keep at least 20 lbs in stock. My dad just put in an order for a bunch. It is not available up our way since Publix stop at the ky/Tenn line. We found a supplier up our way once but it was rotten when he got it to us. We would usually drive to Nashville and fill a cooler every 6 months.

I will have to look into that. Never planted those either. Something different is always fun to try.

Good morning, everyone. Coffee tastes really good today, for some reason.

When I went grocery shopping yesterday, I made it a point to talk briefly with every store worker I came across. A simple "Thank you for being here, doing what you do". Each person appreciated the words. Give it a try the next time you are shopping.

I was to have my annual checkup today. It got pushed off a few months, but, I'll be having a "telecheck/telehealth" phone call from my primary physician instead. This'll be a first.

Around the call, I'll be back out splitting and stacking wood.

    Stay safe
    Stay healthy

Good morning y'all. Glad y'all are finally up...sleepyheads...:sleeping:... :rofl:
Been a boring night waiting on my friends to talk too.:tears:.
Hope y'all have a FABULOUS FRIDAY. I'm off for 3 days now...got the mower deck repaired, need to install it and cut a big yard this morning, takes about 2 1/2 - 3 hrs just to cut it...then probably split and stack some more oak.
Be encouraging, call and check on folks, lend a hand if you can.
    GOD LOVES YOU AND ME.

Good morning everyone! Today is my husband's last day of work... even though he delayed his retirement and is still an employee, NH is shutting non-essential businesses as of midnight tonight. So, he gets to stay home, and we keep our health insurance, not a bad outcome. I think sooner or later the company will go out of business, but we'll deal with that when it happens.
I had a good day outside yesterday, noodled some uglies enough to split them with a wedge, and did some more raking. My ex stopped by while I was working, but he didn't want to split any more wood. And last time I gave him the easy stuff, poplar. Oh well, all the more for me.
Today will be nice, in the 50's so more time outside. I hear you Southerners are in for a heat wave. Maybe T.Jeff's mud will dry.
    Have a good one!
