Considering a used circa early 1990's Stihl 024. Was this a "pro" model saw at the time? Is it more or less the same as the MS241 (now obsolete) saw it evolved into?
I see a couple FHC members who love their 241's
Any input greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Not sure if they considered it a "pro" model or not. There was a 024 Super model which was almost the same as a 026. The supers are more sought after. (i'm stihl lookin) The 241 is only 0ne cc bigger but has better filtration and better AV than the old 024. I'd buy one only if the price was right. $125 max and it would have to be pretty niceYou have the 261 and don't think you would be to impressed with the 024. IMO.

The 024 is a pro saw, the 024 super had a longer stroke which allowed the bigger bore 026 cylinder. Yes it evolved to the MS241

You’re infected aren’t you?:picard:be careful, it’s a slippery slope. Your chance of recovering from Coronavirus is WAY better than recovery for CAD

Actually not really believe it or not. I enjoy checking out CL and FBM looking for deals.

    That’s where it starts.
I enjoy doing that also but rarely have the $$$ when the deal shows up

Yep, you are infected. How about getting your 029 done? You will really like it then.
