Battery battle?

    Yup, big fan myself...just make sure it goes to "float" after the battery is charged, that way it won't overcharge and you can just leave it on all winter...

    I was told that there are only a handful of companies that make batteries and the only difference between some is the color plastic and stickers on them otherwise internally the same.

    True, a snippet from the internet, granted a couple years old, but probably still accurate.

    "Most auto batteries are made by just three manufacturers, Delphi, Exide, and Johnson Controls Industries. Each makes batteries sold under several different brand names. Delphi makes ACDelco and some EverStart (Wal-Mart) models. Exide makes Champion, Exide, Napa, and some EverStart batteries. Johnson Controls makes Diehard (Sears), Duralast (AutoZone), Interstate, Kirkland (Costco), Motorcraft (Ford), and some EverStarts."
