It looks like up to a 1/2" of rain over the next two days. We should be fine for the weekend.

Yup. Decent sized cities for this area look like ghost towns. Would estimate 1/3 of the traffic on the interstate. We live close to an airport. There is a flight everyday at 5 am that is my alarm clock. Haven’t heard it since Sunday. Kinda eerie out there.

With that being said, I feel it just a matter of time before the criminal sector decides to start to take advantage of it. Spells nothing but opportunity for them. :picard:

Lots of rain moving in...the ground already squishes when you walk, but the grass is getting greener by the day. Going to service the mower this week.

Pepper plants I started last weekend are germinating. Spring isn't far off now.

people are starting to lose their minds. A guy on another forum shared a story yesterday. A coworker was walking in downtown Boston yesterday morning. He was in front of the courthouse, and keeping distance from the only person near him, at least 10' away, when he sneezed. The guy responded by pulling a gun and threatening to shoot him in the face.

Thanks for the reminder. I'll get my guajillo pepper seeds started.
I had to make guajillo pepper powder from dried whole Chili's. So I kept the seeds. Got a lot, more than I need, plus I'll give some to a friend that loves cooking mexican food.

What a scary time to be getting sick. Is it a cold, or am I gonna die?

I’m going with it’s the cold my daughter is just getting over.

Reading about the fires and fire departments on here really makes me thankful. With us being on ag land, we don't even have to get a permit to burn.

Some good news or possible great news I just read is that they are finding that one of the old malaria medicines they used back in the 40's very well might be one of the best treatments to prevent this new virus from taking hold of people or at least stopping it from doing big damage. Let us hope and pray.

I surely noticed that when I had to go to a meeting Tuesday night. Met one vehicle on the way and 2 on the way home. I remember when driving like that was the norm and I miss it a lot.

We also had to go out yesterday but I can't say that the traffic was less or at least not much less than normal.

I should have added that we also learned yesterday that at least one grocery store near us is having a problem getting workers. It makes me wonder if it is all from being scared of the virus or being lazy or perhaps a bit of both. Yet, I can understand for those who really don't want to take the chance of coming into contact with others.

On the other hand, I know of one person who has quarantined himself and his family because he and his wife were out of the country. Yet, even though he won't go to work, he did go to a meeting where many others were to be. Hum... Foggy thinking?

If this truly did happen, the other idiot broke the law by threatening with a weapon. He is exactly the type of gun owner that gives all the rest of us bad names. What a knot head!

Absolutely! Made me think though, and I made sure I had a .45 on my hip when I had to leave the house for a few this morning.
