Our Governor Declared a state of emergency but he’s leaving the schools open, for now, as he believes if you close the schools who’s going to watch the kids. The grandparents who are then at a higher risk.. mmm

Was just going to post this video, but saw it was already posted. However, that is the full interview and some won't have the attention span to watch/listen to an hour and half long video or be turned off when they see how long it is. Here's the 15 minute version, which is simply the beginning of the full interview.

I doubt that situation is any different there than anywhere else. Money is limited for everyone everywhere. Last I knew it wasn't just kids that went to school, it was janitors, bus drivers, cafeteria workers, clerical and administrative personnel as well. This is the same old we're better than everyone else, rules don't apply to us mentality that is destroying this country.

3% this early on is a big deal. The shutting down is to stop it from getting completely out of hand. It's called being pro-active vs trying to react after it becomes a much larger problem. We need to listen to the scientific community who are experts in the field of infectious diseases. Decisions which are being made are not being made by a flip of a coin, there are reasons why, and those reasons are based upon recommendations from those who are in the know. It scares me to think I could have it, be highly contagious and asymptomatic but yet it could kill my parents next time I see them.

My mom is 98 and living in a nursing home. I got a call letting me know they are not letting in visitors until this scare is over.

Good news. Can you imagine what would happen if that virus got inside places like that. Yikes!

I know no politics but this is exactly what has happened with this virus; one party is using it as a means to win an election. Since most people are stupid and don't understand anything they are easily manipulated. Kids are not dying from this virus like they do with the regular flu virus. Most people will get sick and recover without needing to go to hospital.
For the ones that are at high risk, don't visit with them; have elderly parents and grandparents? Don't visit with them; use the phone etc for your visits. Closing schools? Why, the kids won't be at home, they will be running all over the place like they do now. Hell, you can't go anywhere in the middle of the day without running into kids that should be in school. Look at the idiots buying up cleaning supplies; evidently they they think the viruses is lurking on every surface just ready to jump out at them. I have gotten a half dozen emails from companies, including the electric company, about the damm virus. I went into the grocery market the other day and they had some poor sap walking around cleaning the handles to the freezers and coolers. I told him he got the tedious job and he agreed. He can clean the handle and then five minutes later someone with the virus can sneeze all over it and then someone comes behind and get the mucus on their hands. You would have to have people stationed to jump in and clean the handle immediately after someone touches it. It is just stupid. Then there is all the yelling about being tested. They keep asking if every American will be able to be tested. You don't need a test if you aren't sick and if you are sick and have the virus, there isn't a damm thing they can do. If you are sick with the common cold virus you should keep your arse at home; which company wants one employee to come in and make everyone in their company sick with a cold? They don't, people come in sick because they don't want to lose that damm money. There have been other bad flu outbreaks; just do a search. Yes, this one is a bit more contagious than the regular flu, a bit more, not 50% more, a bit more. If you just follow proper procedure then you will probably not catch it. First rule, avoid picking your nose until you wash your hands. I know what is really going on, one party and their media outlets are using this to try and win an election. They have personally try to make it sound like the President isn't doing anything and that we are all going to die because of him. Bullshat. I guess the good thing about all this hysteria is that a lot of people will have clean homes for the first time and they won't have to worry for a year about not having any toilet paper to wipe their arse.

First of all, you lose all credibility when you start calling people stupid who don't agree with you. Second of all, this is not a political issue, so stop making it one.
