Continuing the great wall of Woodwhore

Had to move into another area of the property for the wall to continue. Splitting quarry wood, 16-18” maple rounds reading 28% still at over 6 months old and was covered since September. The cherry birch logs are around 25%. Testing everything to back up my own experiences. Business is rediculous and the last 2 nights after clock change have been very productive. Also, Is that red oak because its kinda seems different, the smell and end color are throwing me off.

That's not bad for seasoning in the round. Get it Split, and stacked and I bet it will get a lot further as far as drying. Test again after summer.

Im surprised woods sales are ending for the current burning season. Time to focus on next years inventory. I know you had plenty already squirreled away. Red oak round.

Thanks bud, 30 cords since September, im guessing like 22 were dead standing. Thats every day and weekend going hard. Im slowing down now but im in a hole already, word spreads fast in small towns.

 

Wife helped me stack yesterday, while she stacked i cut rounds. All quarry wood will be done today. Looks like 12 cord out of there and alot more trees to go. Finally put sides on the trailer it hauls almost double now and Kamo wanted to put the flags on it. He chants USA USA USA when we’re driving around.

I think he kept putting it off, i had it ready in the areas he wanted to go. Theres still plenty of trees in spots where they want access to.

 

Can you get back there yet, not too muddy? You have so many cutting spots to go to. The quarry must be one of the hairiest to get wood out of. I don't know how you decide where to cut every day!

 

No mud in the quarry, the trails are all granite fir the mist part. I havnt been there yet because its all green wood. There is quite a few dead standing oaks but nothing i could have sold rt away.

The giant wall in this pic is 1 row, this stuff was in a pile behind the wall for a while. Now that its all open i cant believe the cracking in the ends already. Single tall stacks is definitely the way to go.
