I have been fishing this lake for 28 years now. I know a lot of good spots. I have been doing what we call the “grass line bite”. Get there before daylight and park your boat about 5 feet in the grass off the main body of water. Put out as many 10’ cans poles as you think you can manage. I’ve had 7 catch fish at the same time. The crappie herd the minnows up against the grass just about daylight. Absolute riot for 30 minutes. When that bite stops and the sun gets up we turn the boat around and go fish the pads where they hide from the sun. The sunfish should start about a week from now. Consistent temps in the high 80’s will get the water temp where they want it. Also, the shell crackers like to spawn when the temp is right but 3 days before and 3 days after a full moon. Some say it’s hooey but the game wardens will tell you the same thing.

Waiting for the coffee to kick in... this morning I'm going to reorganize my pantry, see what I've got and put things where I can find them. I figure it's inevitable that at some point, husband and I will need to self-confine for 2 weeks or longer, either because we are sick, because everyone else is sick, or because we suspect that we've been exposed.
Where's the firewood angle in all of this? Other than lower HHO prices that are no doubt coming.
I'm slowly but surely getting the yard cleaned up. Still a lot of neglect to make up for. I went hog wild making firewood last spring and summer, and some nasty weeds took hold.
There was a nice moon last night. The picture doesn't do it justice. I can see it setting now, out my window. IMG_20200310_37393.jpg Hope you all have a good day.

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a TERRIFIC TUESDAY. Got to find some coffee to put in my creamer Midwinter ...:p...
Going to my BIL and help him measure his roof for metal panels, mail off a package, and then CSS some more oak, if it doesn't start raining. Got some of the water pumped out of mama's basement. Have a big day tomorrow, get to see the new grandson finally.
Had a great day yesterday, got a nice load of oak, I'll put it in the Dixie thread.
Having a great spring revival at church too.
Live by the GOLDEN RULE and be encouraging
    GOD LOVES YOU AND ME

Congrats to mom, daddy and baby, Jeff.
Gloomy, wet day here. 45 out. Yesterday was sunny and 64. Not 100 % sure but think I just saw a gold finch fly past the front window. Seen some geese on a small pond this morning. There is always a few that nest down there every year.
