I had someone confusing me joking about the time zone in AZ, finally said there were two.

DST goes all the way back to the Romans (more probably Greeks) in a way who constantly corrected their clocks to match solar time.
Germany was the first country to implement DST countrywide to save fuel for the war effort.
Some Canadiens beat them to it before that but just in a small area. Maybe farmers but it was just to utilize daylight.
There can be found many papers throughout history written with different concepts and implementations regarding the potential of DST but were never put into effect by scale. My favorite might be changing the time over three or four weekend incrementally 15 or 20 minutes at a time to mitigate the one hour shock.

It doesn't mess me up at all so it doesn't bother me beyond having to either reset a clock or, like in my car add an hour during the appropriate time of year to be "correct".

LOL, I fell asleep on the couch early. I'm up already. I've always wanted to watch the time change on my phone or computer though. I always miss it. I set an alarm once but slept thru it. Can't stay up that late, can't get up that early.
Got the stove going, made coffee and making pancakes. Sunrise isn't till 7. Well that sucks.

Up at 5 today , right around my usual time. It would have been 4 yesterday. What was I thinking ?
Going to meet up with buZZsawBrad this morning and do some cutting.
Going to be a long day but looking forward to daylight until around 7pm

I'm about as far west as you can be and still be on Eastern time. Right about when things feel "right" (sunrise, sunset lines up with what seems normal) the time changes. After the time change, in the spring it doesn't get light out until after 8AM....in the summer it stays light out until almost 10...then the fall time change comes and all of a sudden it gets dark at 5:30. If IN were on central time things would make a lot more sense, but this time change sucks.
