All things considered I don't feel too bad this morning , no ibuprofen for me ; yet anyway. I did end up unloading most of the trailer and stacking that pile of sugar maple I split last week. Your 3 year plan in 2 weeks scares me. I haven't recovered from yesterday yet. Go easy on me.
Great job guys. It is always more enjoyable to cut wood with another person. Time flies and more work is accomplished, even though there are great days alone in the woods also.
Those rounds are money. I should probably start noodling a little bit as some rounds that I get are quite large. I think I would also be able to load more in my truck if I fill in the gaps with some noodles.
I noodled a few that had some knots and couldn't split . Brad hand split a large percentage of it with the isocore , I couldn't load the truck fast enough to keep up with him. No way that it was going on truck or trailer without busting it up and it seems to stack a little tighter with it in pie cuts
For sure I'd go back after the uglies and also to chop down that stump as there is still much firewood to be got there. In addition, you would leave it in better shape for the homeowner.
Brad is like the terminator. Sent from the future to annihilate all trees. I could picture him walking in a freshly cleared area, stepping on the fallen tree branches like bones crackling under his feet. Looking around with laser beams coming out of his eyes and a chainsaw in hand. All the trees hiding behind each other trembling in fear.
Probably still wouldn't work, I'm sure he has at least 6 spares, plus a back up saw for his back up, back up, back up saw tucked in the truck some place and if all that failed he would probably bust out a 2 man crosscut saw he has stashed in the truck.
IM beat. I felt OLD when i finally got up. Really dragged all day. Still kinda wiped out! A few of them we shouldve noodled, but once i start swinging the Isocore im on a mission.
I can agree with you 110%, but i have plenty of good splits and multiple cords of nuglies. I couldve gone back for them after i cut the Lots of Leftovers! (same tree) load the day after Thanksgiving. I dont think he wanted them either. Asplundh returns to clean the remnants. Homeowner was happy we took what we did.
