Had some apricot rounds that needed dealt with, so I thought I’d make some cookies. Didn’t quite get a dozen when I struck some iron

    OUCH is right! That $%&*$! Any only puttering too. I cut the lower trunk of the tree today last in fear of metal. None found but some purplish staining so there was some in it.

    Nice catch. I didn’t realize that was the one Stihl chain I have, but that would explain it. Husky chain would have zipped right through the nail and kept on cutting. :rofl: :lol:
    I think that chain came with the 372 I got at a pawnshop. Probably why they got rid of it. Wouldn’t cut.

    It WAS a sickly tree. Was sure it was a fruit tree of some sort but never any fruit or blossoms. After they were on the ground I found 6 pathetic little apricots. There was 2 trees

    Ouch,but, it looks like you pulled it out in the cut fast enough and saved the chain. Great job. Looks like a little ''roll'' on the tip of the back tooth, but, at least it's not chewed up that bad.
