First pic before second, third and fourth main splitter problems. Five, six, and seven backup splitter and end of day results.
Something always seem to brake when you need it. Little bit of slege hammer work, few welds and some bracing you will be better then new
But we know that our good friend Redneck has more than one splitter so this should not hold him back long at all. lol I'm surprised nobody noticed the milk crate.
Well it looks like I'm in the market for a splitter. Local welder wants 300.00 to replace the entire foot plate. He said it was bent and could not be welded properly. I only paid 300.00 for it six years ago. Thinking about a new one this time. Maybe.
Pfft...you need a "farm shop" welder...they'd just pull that back together, weld, reinforce, $100, done! So if you sell this one, that only leaves you with 2 more, right?
Yea down to two it sucks having to move them around again. Got kinda spoiled having one everywhere we had wood piled up.
Ouch, that's a rip off. If you were closer I would fix that for you for a bottle of captain and 40 bucks!
Can you put a chain on the top of the anvil back to the wedge and pull it back straight up using the cylinder? I wish I was closer as well. A grinding wheel and a couple pounds of rod would do wonders for that thing. That splitter is almost exactly like mine only the cylider on mine is black. I've been meaning to change that kickstand set up under where the log goes for years but just never seem to find the time. What brand is that, cuz I bought mine used and there have never been any stickers on it to know what it is for sure. I just call it a blue max cuz that's the only label left.
