Good afternoon y'all. Hope y'all had a TREMENDOUS THURSDAY. I was able to come to work and watch it rain all day...should move out tonight, which is great, I start my 7 days off...might get some wood cut if we can find a dry spot to setup on. We will have a new grandson by this time next week. If he doesn't come before, he will be born on the 11th. His big brother is our little helper on the woodyard.
Be encouraging, remember the Golden Rule.

Speaking of ice, a buddy measured 39" of ice there last weekend. I will have to dig out the auger extension!

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a FABULOUS FRIDAY. Enjoying my 1st day off this week. It's quiet here this morning. Don't think it's raining...yay...we aren't near as bad as south GA. They had over 3" the day we got 1". Several counties have closed schools. Roads are washed out, I mean dirt and paved. We have to take more wood up to mama. She is about out again. Supposed to get windy today, hope the trees stay up with this wet ground.
Remember the GOLDEN RULE.

It's a chilly one here, 24° and sunny. I'm waiting on the workmen to come back. They should finish up a few small projects and do some painting and trim. The new door is in and looks great, I'll take a pic when it's all done.
I got a little oak, one limb worth, from the trimming I saw the other day. And one of the door installers offered me wood from a catalpa (northern variety) that he'll be cutting this summer. Not my favorite, but brought to my yard counts for a lot. Sounds like it's a big tree. He said he'd cut it into rounds ( his brother used to work for a tree service, and will be doing the cutting).
I've been cleaning out garden beds. Going to plant a few seeds today, bachelor buttons, annual poppies, and larkspur.
