Last night I decided I would quickly update the shower fixtures in the baby's bathroom. Went to Menard's (35+ minutes away) and got a really nice looking chrome Pfister kit, but forgot to get thread tape. So I angrily decided to drive to Orschlen's (10 minutes away) to buy some thread tape. I decided to take the scenic route which includes a drive by the county burn pile. I thought what the hell and jumped out to look at what they had in stock. There were tons of HUGE logs being burned and some good ones not being burned. I think it is hedge, but I am not sure. Whatever it is, it sure is heavy! I loaded up what I could fit in the trunk amid the empty boxes of baby supplies, dogs, and car seat and was on my way to Orschlen's. Ended up not getting the damm shower installed because all my valves are plumbed for Moen Poli-something or other. I am returning the stuff I bought yesterday and buying Moen equipment. I oughta stick to firewood!
From my experience, Pfister is about the worst crap on the market. Stick with Moen, or Delta, it will outlive you. Good job on the wood score.
Well Sean Easterly at least you got something out of it. What breed of dog is that in the second pic?
It turns out if I can buy the correct shower trim kit, it shouldn't take too long, as I won't really be messing with any plumbing. I will let you know how it goes tonight
Plumbing is my nemesis. I know how, I've done plenty, I'm not terrible at it, yet I highly dislike it........with a passion. Pics are forthcoming.....right?
Plumbing does not take a long time.. The going to the store to get the right parts, fittings, and crap you forgot takes about a day.
I cannot tell you how many rolls of teflon tape and electrical tape I've bought over the years. They POOF disappear.
