Dad and i have a side job that involves topping and dropping three dead standing oaks all from one trunk. We headed over there after i got done work and i jumped in the bucket and started limbing on my way up. That's when the problems started.

Problem #1 my top handle stopped oiling so i came down to work on it

Problem #2 Dad went up in the bucket with my 180 and after a few cuts the it started flooding out. He got tired of messing with it in the bucket so he came back down to get the top handle

Got it up and running and went back up to continue limbing. After topping one of the oaks dad came down and i went up to start limbing one of the others.

Problem #3 The pull cord broke on the top handle and i just about threw from the bucket.

We pretty much called it quits after that since we were both tired, sweaty and frustrated. Then i got home and realized that i had handed dad my knife to cut a rope and he never handed it back. Gave him a call anddddd he has no idea where he put it. Ahhhhhh:hair: What's next??

    Oh yeah it's beer time:drunk:

Here's a bad pic after we called it quits.

You got that out of your system... the rest will go smooth as silk. I hate when jobs go like that. You were right on the mark calling it a day.

    Could be worse....
Blisters on the front of your knuckles, no finger/hand pads left, pretty sure 1st-2nd degree burns on palms & fingers, and knee caps feel liked they're cracked.
Got all but one of the spots on the pool liner back in the beaded track.
Pulling on a pool liner after heating with a hair dryer on your knees all day - not on the list of jobs I want to have to do again for a while.
    The beer tastes better though:drunk:

Sometimes little things go wrong saving you from something even bigger going wrong later. It's sucks, but if you can drink a beer at the end of the day, all is well!

I just sent the little lady to the bottle shop for some vodka & cranberry juice - she's a keeper:thumbs:.
Gonna need something more than beer to ease the pain tonight....At least the cold beer bottle is soothing the pads of my fingers:drunk:

Yup. I'll make a bet there is not one forum member here that hasn't had "one of those days."
