Dont see the point of pictures, i just stated my opinion, i know the wood is mulberry, looks like the pictures others have posted and it has mulberries on it in the summer. What would be the point?
Plus i dont know how to do that from phone, i could drag out the camera and do it on the computer i guess. I dont have any fresh cut.
What kind of phone do you have? I find it easier to post pics from my phone than from my laptop. (a little, not a lot) I'm sure we could walk you through it...
I have to go pick up some branches from a ash tree i cut down so i can take pictures and we can do that later.
I never knew that mulberry was good for smoking. I wish I could try that but our tree was planted, so I was told, by me about 50 years ago and I sprayed it with pesticides trying to save it. As for sparks, yeah it sparks pretty well. Opening the door to the stove caused a ejection that traveled in slow motion through the air burning a hole in my wife's new chair.
I always like to add to my knowledge of wood. I only know the mulberry we have here and if there are some pics of other kinds I can file it away in the ol memory bank.
Must be white MB? The grain and bark look a lot more "ash like" than our red MB does here...I'll get a pic when I go out in a while...
Here's my red MB...this is the tree that I picked the berries from when I posted about making a cobbler with them some years back...gotta see if I can find that again. This is the twin leader tree that the north half came down on my processing area last June during a wind storm...talk about a volunteer! I would have pulled a split out for a better grain pic, but these are buried on the bottom of the stack and none would budge. This stuff was bright yellow when I split it last summer.
