It's tricky getting enough contrast, but not too much. Be it a house, truck, what have you.

In time I'd like to go around the foundation in grey to match the roof

Sourwood , I cannot locate your post to quote you, but congrats to the helpers you are mentoring!!!! How did the job hunting turn out? My husband is enrolling our daughter in 4-H shooting. He said "well darn, guess I have to buy kiddo another gun" :picard: (his last addition was supposed to be for her too........) Weird, all 3 of us are left eye dominant. He's thinking about starting her off the bat with a lefty gun.

In the eye of the beholder I guess! Either way, inappropriate pics at a minimum.

He ate dinner. More rice and a little dog food mixed in. He's doing better, he's been sleeping a lot today, and I don't blame him.

As long as he keeps improving, I'll not worry too much.

Yes, it's a fine line. That's why when we put new siding on our house, we went with a medium dark green, with the white trim, gutters, garage door, etc. The shingles have a greenish tint in the brownish shingles.

Now doesn't that just p..s you off when things like that happen. Unless a new saw was what you wanted, it is a set back in money and time. Hope this new saw is meeting your needs.

    Ah, learning how to shoot.

In this week's paper (once per week) there is an article about a shooting that happened probably only about a mile or 1 1/2 miles from us. Seems there was 3 people involved. One guy was teaching two others gun safety. It was a .22 semi-automatic pistol they were using. The gun jammed. So the guy fixed it. Trouble is, when he fixed it, he shot himself in the hand. Fragments of the shell hit the lady in the stomach. Then she later got shot in the shoulder.

Please don't do this at home folks...

Wait, so they both were wounded in the first shot, but then continued and there was a second accident? Was the guy "teaching" his ex wife or something?

these incidents are unacceptable ,in my classes everyone starts with a bluegun and even then no fingers are allowed in the triggerguard these incidents are not accidents they are negligence ,they can be prevented .

True. A gun can’t pull its own trigger, but ADs can happen in semiautomatic handguns and rifles. Even some revolvers if dropped. What mitigates it is proper firearm safety, first being always to point the firearm in a safe direction. I’m sure you are schooling your students well. Glad there are instructors like you out there.

some rifles have been known to slamfire ,i have never had it happen but if it is pointed downrange no one gets hurt . in a pistol if a ad was to happen it would likely be when the slide is released ,again it should be pointed downrange ,as for dropping yes it has been known to happen but newer designs have done a lot to reduce that ,the only revolvers i use in class are security sixes and they have a transfer bar to prevent ad's from a blow to the hammer or a fall ,we must all try to be vigilant when handling things that may cause harm to others whether it be a gun,car ,chainsaw etc. many incidents / accidents can be prevented with a little patience and common sense

You are 100% correct. Safety in everything we do is the best advice. Transfer bars were a great invention. Better than having to carry on an empty chamber. Stay vigilant!

I drove the Duramax a few days ago. Found a warning ticket for speeding  :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :picard: Odd there was a Sheriff out here where we live, but indeed WWW was speeding. He told the Sheriff it was my truck and he's not used to it and it takes off like a rocket. The Sheriff laughed and said same with his wife's truck

I tell you it's not hard to overlook the simplest stuff sometimes. Dad's furnace stopped working last night. Checked breaker, good. Went and bought a new thermostat, never fixed the problem. Really didn't want to call for service, especially Sunday cause it'd be twice the price. Tried to do some research. By and by he found the problem. His girlfriends mom accidentally turned off the emergency switch.
