Oil the Splitter Beam: Yes or No

I don't have a steam one, will you accept a pneumatic one in it's place?

House has auto cut in genny- fixed mount on LP. When I picked the other up we were experincing stotms knocking the power out for many hours at a crack-. that particular home with a heavy storm would flood the basement unless 2 sumps were runing- hence the gen set - course after I got it the power never went out for more than a few minutes- go figure, so there it sits on the pallet racking.

 

I thought I would add that it also works well as a anti spatter for welding.

 

Never put a drop of oil on mine. Split a gazillion cord with it and shows no signs of wear.

Grease/oil will collect dirt, sand, etc and probably wear things out even quicker.
