A very mild 21 overnight. Basement started leaking in earnest once again yesterday with the warmup temps. :headbang:

    30. pine.

Ha! it was 30ºF (outside) earlier and burned some pine to knock the chill out, but it warmed up real quick and now the stove is cold again.
Forecast for today is about the same as yesterday and yesterday was nice.
Cloudy and showery weather on the short outlook.

Lost our sunshine but it is still in the 40's. Not bad at all out there. Now we have a winter storm watch.

Sun filled day but only low to mid 30's. Nice, I'll take it!

Raining here 40 or so. Got a fire in the garage and the house. Left the stove in the house rolling pretty hard this morning while I was running around. It’s at least 80 in here. Burning standing dead ash. Throw in one piece carry out 5 gallons of ashes.

    44ºF outside.
Got down to a frigid 69ºF inside so there's some red maple burning in the stove now.
Cloudy and showers for the next three days, so we're in shoulder season mode again.
Might even be a Winter storm but we're on the warm/rain side so NBFD unless big winds happen.

Threw one measly split round of wood ( 1/2 piece) into the OWB this morning around 9:00 and checked it a couple hours ago....

Its got a way to go before it's used up though.

    Holding around 28 now.

In warmer weather like this, I will only have half a fire....that is, I will stack wood on one side of the OWB when I fire up. I still check it twice a day, but really no need to.

Upper 20s currently, not going down to much more- small load in the WS. Big snows possible Thursday. It'll be some heavy stuff since the temps will be warm.

If the wood I had was dryer I would let it die down a lot more, but it's a lot wetter then I would like so I like a heavy bed of coals

38 this morning, more rain in the forecast. Wife and kids went to visit her sister, so I’m just throwing a hoodie on and will let the stove rest a bit

warmed up appreciably overnight, 44ºF outside now. 52ºF forecast as the high for the day which should be mid-afternoon..
Lit a pine fire a while ago and may do one more load of some pine in a bit and then call it a day, at least until later this aft. '
Rain snuck by to the south of us this AM and looks like we'll stay dry until evening.
