Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a FABULOUS FRIDAY. My weekend to work 7AM-7PM, so I'll just load the stove tonight. There is a shiny round unknown thing in the sky today. Down in the 20's tonight. Enjoy your day, it is a present from GOD. Vertical and ventilated is the best way to be.
    GOD LOVES YOU AND ME

I’m willing to go learn something. Right now the guy has a very large excavator on a barge and it’s too big for these little lakes. I always liked that ax men show where they raised sinkers.

Good Morning. My wife got up at 4, so the coffee was ready when I got up. Heading to my home lake this morning. The large gamefish season closes tomorrow until the second weekend in May, so I will be pulling the house off today.

Good morning all! I'll be playing catch-up here, after being mostly out of the house the last couple of days. But babysitting sure beats having a job! We built a Lego robot yesterday, and read some Uncle Scrooge.
It's 19° now, headed to 40. Tomorrow maybe up to 50. I still have some rounds to split; poplar, birch, pine, red maple, oak, pear, apple, honey locust, and black locust. I think I'll start with the softer woods, get them drying. Two cords of shoulder season wood is what I'd like to have per winter. I had one cord this year, and burned it all. I have some birch which will have to do for this spring.
I hope you all have a pleasant weekend, condolences to T.Jeff Veal who's working.

I really like poplar up here, with a little black ash and birch in the mix for overnights during shoulder seasons.

I cut and split my poplar in April, and if not too big, stacked and covered properly, it is really good for burning by October.

I'm hoping for similar results on the poplar. I cut almost a cord last August, and it sat in the sun behind the pool last fall.
