Just wanted to share a few shots of our area lately. This was yesterday from mama's house, thru the wood yard, to our house...
This is the Ocmulgee River in Macon GA today. 0219201721.jpg 0219201722.jpg 0219201723.jpg This is an old grist mill a few miles from home. Town Creek is normally a slow moving medium size creek. 0219201806.jpg 0219201806a.jpg

And more is coming in the next few days.

    This is not fine! IMG_20200220_9169.jpg
Despite the puddles, I really enjoyed the first video, the drive into wood town! I hope it stops raining on you, but I also hope this helps your oak trees to recover from last summer's drought.

It looks like some nice country down there. I hope you get a nice dry spell soon, with some warming. I can just imagine how green it will be down there fairly soon. That is not going to happen here for another 2-3 months depending on the weather.

That's for sure! Sometimes we have to wait until June to see everything green up...……..:headbang:

Yep, it will green up quick, but it's mostly winter weeds, not grass, it is a pain to cut, clumps up bad, only dies out when temps get hot. Oh well, each place we live has +'s and -'s...

Couple videos of today, while hanging around the house. If y'all ever want a great set of wind chimes, these are Corinthian Bells. You can hear them all around the yard.

Ya reckon, I got off Tuesday morning @7, started raining about 5AM, it has slowed to a drizzle a few times in 3 days...I thunk I gots cabin fever...I managed to get 4 buckets of wood in this morning and build a fire, the high temp was this morning @ 8, 41° now.
The good LORD knew what I needed this morning though. The drum I was getting the short/uglies from had some nice white oak chunks. 0220200956.jpg They looked cold and lonely, so being the nice guy I am, brought them in and put'em in the honorable bear box to warm up...:thumbs: 0220201007.jpg

I like those wind chimes. There aren't many I like but those are good. Not sure though but what one could get tired of them but for some folks they love them all the time.

Yes sir, I don't like the cheap tinny sounding ones either. When we went in the store and I heard a few different sets of these, they are just different. They really resonate well.

Hasn't rained since Thursday evening late......
I did a quick video driving from mama's house thru the woodyard on my way to work this morning. Maybe it shows a little. Never seen water seeping in front of the tractor shed before, and I've lived here a LONG time. Might try to get one in the daylight later this week...

Can't see our yard yet but I know it will be like a sponge when we do see it just like yours. Between the springs and having a clay base, spring is never fun.
