How are you making out, T.Jeff Veal? Any wind with the downpour? Not much firewooding you can do when the ground squishes underfoot. Hope you get some dry, sunny days.

Don't think we had any wind much. We had .6" since midnight, 2.3" yesterday, 4.1" in the last week, 8.3" since Feb 1st. Some has been heavy, some soaking in. 60-70% today, 100% again tomorrow. Supposed to be clear and cold, down in the 20's this weekend, guess what, I go back to work Friday...:headbang:...but the GOOD LORD is in control, I'm just along for the ride.

I guess you have to roll with it. 20's this weekend? I dunno, we're forecast to be in the 40's up to 50, nights in the 30's.

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY. Another rainy day in GA, we complain now, but will wish we had some in August...lol...people are so funny, we don't realize how good we have it. We dont live in a perfect world anymore. We can choose to be happy or grumble the whole time. A favorite quote of my aunt was "Bloom where you are planted", my uncle was a Methodist minister, so she got planted quite a few times. Bring beauty to the world around you, store up your treasures in heaven. I saw that at Backwoods Savage GTG last year first hand and in pictures of the other GTGs. Helping others, expecting nothing in return, that's what JESUS expects us to do...thank y'all for doing that...
Going with our daughter to Dr appointment after lunch today, get to see another picture of Riley, grandson on the way. She has about 3 more weeks before we get to hold him.
    Be blessed, be a blessing.
    GOD LOVES YOU AND ME

my father would always comment on how hot the dogwood burned even though it was just a metal lined fireplace in the basement. Thinking back it mustve been an unusual situation as they were growing "wild" in his woods and very common. Cant say ive ever seen that anywhere else.

We have a lot of dogwood down here. Really pretty in the spring when it blooms.

these were forest trees and grew tall and skinny. Maybe 3-5" diameter . They would die and bark would fall off.
